Planning - Maps and ToDo List

Update on 31 Aug - mainly from Saturday's daily post'!

Planning - the Route

Although planning for our EV Tour of Ireland started a month, or so, ago - nothing was started in a serious fashion, until a couple of days ago!

So the basic plan is to follow the Ten-T Rapid Charging Network across England.  Unfortunately, getting to Harwich is not straightforward and even the first leg on the A14 is a 'No Go'.  Which is not all bad - since we are due to put the car on display at the CENEX LCV event at Millbrook Proving Ground - see http://cenex-lcv.co.uk/2014/  More about that in a later post!

Here is our first cut at the UK leg - first observation should be that we have to ignore a chunk of teh RCN along teh A14 - simply not enough charging resources - yet!

Harwich to Holyhead by the RCN Electric Highway
... and this is the 1st cut of the route around the northern half of Ireland.  Being pedantic the RCN doesn't go W or S of Dublin.  However, it inconceivable that ESB will not link up all corners of Ireland - so we will be back for more in 2015 - hopefully!
