Day 4 - Over the Sea to Ireland

Todays Achievements

Well the real time tracking (courtesy of AGM Telematics) give proof positive that the EV Matters iMiev did indeed get to Ireland - on schedule!

Yesterday, was touch and go - early start from Berkshire to be on stand at CENEX for 9:30  A full day of walk, talk and stand - leaves you well depleted by closing time!   We ended the day at Bangor 198 miles after leaving Millbrook.  We crossed the Menai Straits mid am and caught the ferry to Dublin - then on to Bray, Co Wicklow - before returning to our hotel on the west side of Dublin!

Morning Activity

Of course the big concern with Bangor was whether we could charge at the hotel - if not we would need 4 hours on a fast charge, at ASDA.  A kind receptionist saved our sanity and allowed us to charger (from the lobby) overnight.
We confess to a late start while we did some admin!   We crossed the Menai straights, in near perfect weather - just a light mistiness in the air!

As we had pre-booked our charging onboard we were allowed to take a place at the front of the queue and got to board first!  Irish Ferries made us feel like VIPs - with every member of the team radioing ahed to ensure we had 'special handling!
The Ulysses was an ultra modern ship, with easy embarking - we were  guided up the ramp to the higher levelt
