Well what do you make for the weather with a long EV drive to do? Pretty well ideal for an Autumnal Tour around Ireland! Its amazing how often July / Aug weather can be produce a series of monsoons and certainly August was a great disappointment!
However, before we can head for the ferry, we have a few appointments to honour:
Tues 9th Sep 10.00. Rapid Charge Network TEN-T Project Launch at the Welcome Break
- Corley Southbound, near Coventry. They will be celebrating the launch of the project (even though
installation have already started) - while we will be celebrating being first to follow the route of the
Rapid Charging Network from end-to-end!
Tues 9th Sep 16.00. Put the EV Matters on-stand at the CENEX Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV)
Event at the Milbrook Proving Ground!
Wed/ Thurs 10/11 Sep 09-17.00. On stand C-213/214 at showing the UK's two award-winning
entrants from this years' World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE).
The EV Matters' iMiev has had a good 'make over' for the trip - still resplendent in it's WAVE livery!
Here is our 'Mile Zero' photograph - no its not our home! We stopped at the Danesfield Hotel (overlooking the Thames) yesterday for a glass of champagne, to start the trip with a good tone! We may be promoting ecologically sustainable tourism - but we would prefer this trip to have some style!
